THERE was a Herefordshire homecoming for the county’s Jubilee flotilla boat today, with the 39-foot ‘trow’ launched near the city’s Victoria Bridge.
The Wye Trow – built in the style of the same boats that would have populated the river several hundred years ago - will now be a permanent fixture on the river.
The county's representative in Queen Elizabeth's jubilee procession in London in 2012, it will also be the centrepiece of Saturday’s Hereford River Carnival, offering trips up and down the Wye.
