A Community group with the brief of monitoring Ledbury's open spaces has been mothballed, at least for the time being.
Coun Martin Eager, chairman of the town's Greenspaces Liaison Group, said the group had not met since Herefordshire Council's new contractor, Balfour Beatty, took over from Amey, early last autumn.
He said: "Despite several efforts to get Balfour Beatty on board, it would seem for now that Greenspaces is for the time being defunct, or mothballed."
The group, which also included members of the public, had the task of meeting with Amey to discuss all aspects of the Town Trail, Riverside Park, Queenswalk Garden and footpaths controlled by Herefordshire Council.
