TRAINSPOTTERS will be in for a treat on Saturday.

A steam engine, the No. 34046 Braunton, will be passing through Hereford at 6.50pm.

She will be on her way to Worcester from Bristol, via Hereford, hauling the ‘Welsh Borders’ train.

Icons Of Steam are the operators of the engine Braunton while the Railway Touring Company run the Welsh Borders train.

Well done for at least mentioning this. However in HT's typical fact mangling fashion the detail is inaccurate. According to the Icons of Steam website, the route will be from Worcester to Bristol via Hereford, not the other way round as HT suggest. The scheduled timings are as follows: Dep Worcester (Foregate St.) @ 17.52, Ledbury @ 18.34, Hereford @ 18.52, Tram Inn @ 19.03 & Abergavenny @ 19.24.
