A HEREFORD courier firm has received a special delivery of its own after winning a national award.

APC Hereford fought off stiff competition from 115 UK courier companies to claim the CEO's Award at the APC Overnight 20th anniversary awards ceremony, held at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole.

The delivery firm, which is based on Westfields Trading Estate, was commended for its outstanding achievement over the last 12 months.

Receiving the award from celebrity host Hugh Dennis at a prestigious black tie ceremony, Kirsty Suzanne Orr, depot principal at APC Hereford, said: “To be singled out from such a strong group of companies is a real coup for our business.

“2013 couldn’t have gone much better for us and it is a credit to the entire team that we have been able to achieve such esteemed recognition."

The company was commended for its continued growth and impressive service levels year on year, despite its rural location.

The company’s growth has been such that this year will see it move to a new 18,000 sq ft premises to ensure it can continue its momentum.
