LEOMINSTER'S Grange Court is set to be officially opened next Saturday (May 31).
The Lord Lieutenant, the Countess of Darnley JP, will open the town's festival at 10.30am and process with Leominster Town Council through Corn Square to the recently restored grade II*-listed timber-framed market house at 11am.
The community, enterprise and heritage hub, which is owned by the people of Leominster through the LARC development Trust, opened to the public in July 2013.
It has welcomed more than 11,500 visitors from all over the world since then.
Chairman of trustees for LARC, Martin Baines, said: "Although we have been open since July last year, this is a fantastic opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone that contributed to the project; the funders, the architects, the contractors and our partners at Herefordshire Council."
To mark the official opening, Lady Darnley will be ‘unwrapping’ Grange Court as a gift for Leominster.
From midday, the building will be open to the community as part of Leominster Festival's family fun day.
