A GROUP of friends battled the heat - and the hills - to complete a mountain trek in memory of a Hereford teenager.
Bianca Hart was 18 when she died following a suspected asthma attack in June 2012.
But her friends and family are determined to keep her memory alive, and 18 of Bianca's loved ones set off on a trek across Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons.
Every member of the team managed to complete the challenge in less than five hours - with Craig Hammond storming ahead to finish in three hours and 11 minutes.
Bianca's dad, Andrew, also took part in the challenge, which raised £5,500 for the Bee's Hart Memorial Charity Fund, which supports young people in Hereford seeking success in music, dance and beauty.
Funds will also go to Asthma UK and Epilepsy Research UK.
Andrew said: "We set off on the hottest day of the year to complete what is known in the Armed Forces as one of the most physically challenging events that you can compete in. The guys involved were a mixture of all ages and abilities.
"We are approaching the second anniversary of the loss of our beloved daughter and we are determined to keep her name alive in the fundraising we do."
