A MAN was left with a broken jaw following an assault outside a Hereford pub.
Two men are believed to have left the Vaga Tavern on Vaga Street on April 27 and were talking outside before one punched the other, leaving him with his jaw broken in two places, nerve damage to his lip and the left side of his face, a broken wisdom tooth and two other teeth displaced.
The incident happened between 9.50pm and 10.35pm and police are asking for a taxi driver who was parked near to the scene at the time to come forward.
PC Jane Price said: “We believe a taxi driver parked very close to the incident shortly before it happened and was there throughout.
“We are urging the driver to come forward as he or she may have vital information which could help us identify the people involved and get a clear picture of exactly what happened.”
The taxi driver and anyone else with information is asked to contact PC Price on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 196s 280414.
