FAMILIES from around Ledbury are invited to the town's children's centre tomorrow (Saturday, June 7) for a community picnic.
Staff at the centre in Long Acres have teamed up with Fortis Living for the event, which also marks Ledbury Community Day and National Family Week.
From noon to 2.30pm, families are invited to bring a picnic to share and take part in outdoor games, including parachute games and water play. Movin Monkeez will also be there to provide dance and fitness fun for young children.
The Friends of Ledbury Children’s Centre will have tasty treats on offer in the form of freshly-baked cakes and strawberries and cream. and a local celebrity will be judging the cakes.
The community day will also include open days at the town's bowling and tennis clubs, Nordic walking and martial arts, archery, and backstage tours of the Market Theatre.
The police and fire stations will be open to the public, and clubs and organisations of all kinds will set up shop in various venues throughout the town.
