CHILDREN from Ledbury Primary School will be out and about during the town's Community Day tomorrow (Saturday, June 7) to promote the town's values.

The school has produced posters in support of the theme "What makes Ledbury a Values-based town?" which will be on show at the town's walled garden.

The school has been a Values-based school since 2006 and has been awarded the International Values Education Trust Mark for its work in promoting values through learning.

It has now secured a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to promote its values in the community and is working with local people, community groups and visitors to Ledbury to gather everyone’s ideas about the Values in Ledbury.

Head Julie Rees said: "There will be a Facebook page set up where people can share ideas, opportunities for local groups to find out more about the work of values and events where people can come and be creative together.

"The first place we would like to see everyone is at the Ledbury Community Day. Our group will be in the walled garden and children from the school will be talking about the Values work and the difference it has made to their school as well as gaining the views of people in our community."
