A LEDBURY man was at the heart of voluntary effort to help a charity caring for life limited children.
Edd Hogan, aged 36, is the lead on community affairs at Aon Birmingham and he organised a team from the risk management company to create a new flower bed at Acorns Children's Hospice in Selly Oak, Birmingham, with plants donated jointly by Aon and Homesbase in Ledbury's New Mills Industrial Estate.
The team also cut back overgrown hedges and generally assisted the regular team of volunteer gardeners, as well as handing over a cheque for £1,000 raised through cake sales, dress down days and a sponsored abseil.
Aon employees around the world take a day out of the office each year to work on a community project and the project was carried out as part of Aon's Global Service Day.
The team involved in this project were drawn from corporate insurance, employee benefits consulting and investments consultancy.
