THE sun shone as a county farm welcomed 700 visitors last weekend.
It was part of Open Farm Sunday and visitors flocked to Hope Ash Farms in Hope Mansell to enjoy a day in the countryside.
Visitors were able to watch cows being milked by robots and sheep shearing demonstrations.
“We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit our farm and find out more about how we produce food and care for the countryside," said Rachel Davies.
"Thanks also to our sponsors – Gaymers Cider, Cranberry Foods, Dairy Crest, Penyard House, Broome Farm and Swallowfields Cider for their generous support of our event.”
Visitors were also able to enjoy the farm trail or cider and milkshake tasting.
Younger guests used the play barn and took part in face painting, a sand pit, the bale climbing frame and pedal tractors.
Bread-making workshops were also very popular.
The day also raised £600 for a muscular dystrophy charity from the sale of cakes, coffees and lunches.
