THE WORCESTER Road near Ledbury may have been "Lake Conigree" to many local residents, during last winter's floods.
But both the town council and Herefordshire Council seem confident that the floods there are a thing of the past.
The town council believes that recent works carried out there by Herefordshire Council contractor, Balfour Beatty, were "very successful" in alleviating the flooding problem.
Herefordshire Council, in turn, has informed the town council that "no major works are scheduled for the Ledbury area this year", concerning flood alleviation, with the exception of minor drain clearances.
