AT a consultation event next week, Ledbury people will be able to have their say on how their town should grow during the next 20 years or so.

On Wednesday, July 2, a planning blueprint for the town, the Neighbourhood Plan, will be under public scrutiny and comment, and the town council is keen to hear the views of local people concerning where new housing should go, where new employment land should be located, and what the retail future of Ledbury should be.

Cllr Bob Barnes, Mayor of Ledbury and Chairman of the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party, has appealed to residents of Ledbury and the surrounding area to attend Wednesday’s consultation event at St Katherine’s Hall, between 4pm and 8pm.

He said: " At the event they can give their views on future land uses and their location in the Neighbourhood Plan Area.

“This stage of the consultation is vital in determining the form the plan will take and the issues it will cover, and we urge residents of Ledbury to come along this event.”

Those not able to attend should sent their views, on any area covered, to the Town Council by August 1.

They can pop into the town council offices or email imagineledbury@gmail.com
