A WEOBLEY woman is taking on new heights to help a county hospice.
Charlotte House, 24, is preparing to jump out of a place from 12,000ft – attached to nothing but an instructor and a parachute.
She hopes to raise as much money as possible for St Michael's Hospice, which is the main provider of specialist palliative care in Herefordshire.
Miss House said: "I'm choosing to do the jump for St Michael's Hospice because of the vital support and care they provide for people with life limiting illnesses.
"I work as a coordinator for a domiciliary care company so I know how important it is to have the support of the hospice if a family member or loved one is poorly.
"The hospice provides everything that a person should need whether it's end of life care or respite care to give themselves and their families a break. "Supporting 1,300 people a year and needing £12,000 per day – or 4.1 million a year – means that every penny of fundraised money counts.
"I'm excited for the jump and have never done anything like this before. I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure that'll kick in nearer the time."
The jump takes place on July 27.
