Set to reopen on July 19, the moated Lower Brockhampton Manor House will feature six new rooms to explore and celebrate the 500-year history of those who have lived, worked or been involved with the property.

The National trust site has been reinterpreted to tell the stories ‘From John to John’; John Domulton who commissioned its building in 1444 and Colonel John Talbot Lutley who donated the estate to the National Trust in 1946.

Part of the ongoing project ‘Brockhampton Revealed’, Lower Brockhampton Manor House’s curator Robin Hill will be on hand to explain the history behind the house.

He said: “Peeling back the layers of history has been a very exciting process and we are delighted with our new findings.”
