ORGANISERS of this year's Beer on the Wye festival are hoping the sun will shine on revellers this weekend.
Back to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Herefordshire CAMRA is pulling out the stops to make the festival the best yet – and predict that more than 18,000 pints of beer, cider and perry will be drunk over three days.
It kicks off tomorrow (Friday July 11) at 2pm and will once again be held in a big top-style marquee in a riverside meadow at the city’s rowing club on Greyfriars Avenue.
Along with more than 120 real ales and 120 ciders and perries there will also be a number of lives bands playing throughout the weekend.
Hot food and camping facilities are also available and a selection of quick entry packages are on offer.
The festival runs from 12noon to 11pm on Saturday and 12noon to 5pm on Sunday.
Entrance prices vary depending on time from £3 to £5 but costs only £1 on Sunday.
Festival commemorative pint glasses will be available for £2. Entry for accompanied and supervised children is free.
