A MAN has died in a road traffic collision in Herefordshire this afternoon.
An ambulance came across a car which had left the road and was in a hedge at Green Lane, Wellington, at 4pm.
The crew immediately called for back-up and a further ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.
Claire Brown, West Midlands Ambulance Service press officer, said: “The ambulance crew first on scene found the driver and single occupant of the car, a man, with significant injuries. He was also in cardiac arrest.
“They immediately commenced CPR at the roadside. Resuscitation efforts continued when ambulance colleagues arrived but sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
