THE former Mayor of Ledbury says he can't wait to get started after securing victory in the town's by-election.
Councillor Terry Widdows, representing It's Our County, claimed a seat previously occupied by the Conservatives.
Cllr Widdows saw off Conservative rival Cllr Allen Conway, another former Ledbury mayor, and Paul Stanford from UKIP in the by-election, which was prompted by the death of Cllr Peter Watts in May.
"I'm overjoyed that Ledbury has decided to vote for change," said the 33 year-old, one of the youngest members of the county council.
"They are sending a clear message."
He says the town's street scene, including grass-cutting, is one of his priorities.
