A MUSIC festival organised by a county charity is set to hit the right notes this weekend.

Students and staff at Salter’s Hill, near Ledbury, have been busy organising this year's annual fundraising musical festival which takes place at the Court Barn, Aylton on Saturday (August 2).

The charity provides services for people with learning disabilities and promotes choice, independence, respect, dignity and responsible lifestyle choices.

And funds raised from this year's event will go towards the cost of an activity centre – housed in a log style cabin – in which students can interact through social activities.

The fundraising target stands at £20,000.

The programme for the festival, which begins at 4pm, includes a mix of bands playing rock, blues and pop classic, catering for every taste.

There will also be refreshments and a raffle at the event which is expected to see festival-goers enjoying the sounds of summer until late evening.

Tickets for the event are available in Ledbury from the Full Pitcher pub, Past and Present Jewellers and the The Glass House opticians or by calling Laura Evans on 01531 671080.

The charity welcomes individuals to its learning centre and endeavours to provide meaningful programmes to develop skills from a range of opportunities including horticulture, woodwork, ceramics and art.

It also aims to provide a platform for employment, volunteering and community involvement.
