The Commonwealth and Ledbury

First published in News

COMMONWEALTH Day could be widely celebrated in Ledbury, next March.

The town council will participate in Commonwealth Day by buying a Commonwealth Flag for £58 and flying it from the town's flagpole in the High Street, on March 9, 2015.

The money from the flag sales goes to the Virdee Foundation, to support good causes in the Commonwealth.

The town council will also to contact the John Masefield High School and Ledbury Primary, to find out if they have any plans to participate in Commonwealth Day, and to inform the schools that the town flagpole will be flying the flag.
