Residents of the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) unit at Ledbury's Community Hospital recently enjoyed a boat trip on the Severn.

The outing, with family and staff, was thanks to the Willow Trust, a charity which offers freedom for the disabled on the water by providing days out for children and adults with learning and physical disabilities, and also those who are seriously ill.

The group left Saul Junction near Frampton on Severn in Gloucester, and live music was provided by musician, Rey Mytton and his guitar.

Adam Moreton, Deputy Manager at Ledbury ABI unit said: “This was a truly magical day; it enabled the people we care for to have quality time with their families away from the care environment. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Willow Trust for accommodating all our needs.

"They are a remarkable charity that provides an invaluable service for those who would not normally be able to have this experience.”

Ledbury ABI is run by Shaw healthcare and provides care and rehabilitation to people across the UK with an acquired brain injury.
