THERE is still plenty to see and do in Hereford today – despite a soggy start to the day.

Flavours of Herefordshire Festival

Mickey Provis, of Green Cow Kitchens will share his skills and insights in game preparation at 11am today while young chef Sean Weaver teaches hopefuls about cooking at 12pm.

Hereford's Pizza Express chefs will teach the art of pizza making at 1.30pm and a chance to learn how to make cocktails and canapes is on offer at 2.30pm.

The festival takes place on Castle Green and there will also be plenty of local exhibitors and live music throughout the day.

Old Market: Love Fun

It's a day of family fun at Old Market, with activities and children’s entertainment taking place throughout the day.

It includes Granny Turismo - the world’s first and only shopping trolley dance display team, The Flying Carpets - puppetry based street theatre, balloon artists, face painters and more.

Weobley Annual Art Exhibition at The Hopelands.

An exhibition of paintings by local artists. Some paintings can be bought, with a percentage of sales going to Friends of Weobley Parish Church.

Open from 10am to 5pm.

Ledbury Carnival

This year's carnival celebrates "Forty Years of Carnival".

The procession leaves the Rugby Club at 12 noon, proceeding up
New Street, left onto High Street, along The Homend, down
Orchard Lane to the Primary School.

Wildplay weekend at Eastnor Castle

There is still chance to take part in the Pie and Ale Trail around Hereford. Choose between traditional local beef and Butty Bach, a calzone with a difference, rabbit pie and vegetarian pies.

Hereford Rotary River Festival

Dragon boat racing, the great Wye duck race and a number of other attractions help make up this year's charity event.

It takes place at Hereford's Rowing Club between 10am and 4.30pm.
