Update on Hereford subway investigation: Teenager arrested on suspicion of wasting police time
AN 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of wasting police time after an investigation into an alleged “serious sexual assault” in Hereford today.
Police are now scaling down crime scene work in and around the Eign Gate underpass.
The underpass and its surrounds have been sealed off since the early hours of this morning.
Detective Inspector Martyn Barnes, of Herefordshire CID, has told the Hereford Times that investigators were “satisfied” that the circumstances reported to the police were not true.
