ALTERNATE weekly collections – with general waste collected one week and recycling the next – will begin in Herefordshire from next week.
Black bins have been distributed to households around the county since August and will store two weeks worth of general waste once the changes are introduced in November.
The move is expected to save Herefordshire Council around £500,000 a year
and around 75,000 miles are expected to be saved per year.
