EASTNOR Potter, Jon Williams is spinning with inspiration, after receiving a £13,000 grant from Arts Council England towards an interactive project for three Hereford museums.

Mr Williams said: "I'm delighted to get this award for a a project that’s been bubbling away in the background for the past three years. The project title is ‘Ceramic Sound in Museums’."

Working with ceramics, Mr Williams plans to explore forms, textures and sounds, unique and specific to the three Hereford -based museums involved in the project.

These are the Waterworks Museum, Cider Museum and St John Medieval Museum.

Mr Williams said he will be producing "fired ceramic installations for the public to engage and interact with at each site".

He added: "The pieces will be inspired by the objects and sounds associated with the museums and industries connected with them.

"The project will progress my own creative development and professional practice in conjunction with the museums, including previously unexplored technologies and production techniques to enhance previously undertaken experimental work for exhibition."
