A TALENTED young engineer from Ewyas Harold is going to spend ten weeks in Tanzania working on community development projects.
Former Hereford Sixth Form student Jack Evans recently completed a Masters in Material Science and Engineering at Imperial College in London, graduating with first class honours.
Now, before starting a career he is taking a year to help communities in Tanzania, and to raise money to fight the Ebola crisis in West Africa.
He has already completed a 1,100-mile cycle ride through Europe to raise money for charity and the former Bishop of Hereford Bluecoat School pupil will continue fundraising until he leaves for Tanzania in the new year.
On November 29 Mr Evans is organising a coffee morning from 10am until 12noon at St Michael’s Church in Ewyas Harold to raise money.
For more information, contact Penny Evans on 07791 399960.
