MORE than 80 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and leaders gathered in Much Marcle Village Hall to celebrate a century of Guiding in the Ledbury area.
Guiding began locally in 1914, following a visit by Lord and Lady Baden Powell to Eastnor Castle.
The centenary celebration morning was spent on arts challenges, including making centenary biscuits and pompoms
Lunch in the sunshine on the field was followed by an afternoon of outdoor challenges including a photo quiz, obstacle course and the bouncy assault course.
“The girls really enjoyed themselves and had a chance to make new friends within the district family”, said district commissioner, Helen Higgs.
She added: “We are grateful to our events team for all their hard work in planning and running the event. We also had help from a wonderful team of parents and young leaders.”
