FIREFIGHTERS were called to a National Trust property near Leominster after a bonfire was left unattended.

A crew from Kingsland was called to Berrington Hall at around 9pm last night to a fire in a garden area.

They discovered it was a bonfire which workmen had lit earlier in the day. They put it out.

At around 7pm last night two crews from Bromyard were called to Birchwood Community Hall in Storridge to put out a wood burning stove fire.

They used a thermal image camera to check it was out.

At 6.18pm one crew from Leominster was called to a road traffic collision involving one car, which was on its side, on the A44 Monkland Road.

Firefighters made the scene safe. No injuries were reported.
