THREE people were arrested after a large fight broke out in Hereford and left two men injured.

Police were called to High Town following the disorder at 11.30pm on November 28.

The disturbance is reported to have begun near the Christmas tree and continued onto the pedestrianised area into High Town.

A 24-year-old man from Leominster and a 26-year-old man from Ludlow were allegedly physically assaulted and sustained injuries to the face and body.

Police believe the fight involved anywhere between seven to 10 men and are keen to trace those involved.

A 17-year-old boy, a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, all from, Hereford, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

They have been released on bail until January 8.

Detective Constable, Catherine Taylor, said: "This is a particularly violent incident in which two men were repeatedly assaulted by a large group of men.

"This took place in the town centre on a busy Friday night and as such we are hoping that those who witnessed the attack will come forward with information to help us find those responsible."
