ANOTHER two burglaries have been reported in Ledbury, bringing the total to 15 in town since the end of September and 25, if burglaries in Colwall and Cradley are included in the growing list.

But police are not sure if the two latest break-ins are linked to others in the spree.

Of the two latest, one took place in Dunns Copse, off Biddulph Way, and the other in Knapp Close.

Investigating officer, DC Laurence James said Dunns Copse "was in the right area" to be linked to other burglaries.

But he added: "The method of entry was totally different."

The Knapp Close break-in involved a forced window, whereas previous burglaries have involved broken windows.

But DC James said: "I cannot rule out that this forms part of the series."

The Dunns Copse break-in took place between 9:30am on Friday January 16 and 3:10pm on Sunday January 18.

Intruders accessed the rear of a bungalow by a side gate then drilled the lock on the outer UPVC door and then drilled a second lock to gain access.

DC James said: "Once inside the offenders conducted a search for what appears to have been for cash and jewellery. No items appear to have been taken."

Judging by tracks, the offenders fled over a rear wooden fence and into a neighbouring garden.

The Knapp Close break-in took place between 4.30am and 11:15pm on Monday January 19.

Intruders gained access to the rear enclosed garden and forced a window.

They searched most rooms and an unspecified amount of cash was stolen.

Anyone with information, for either of the break-ins, should phone police on 101.
