A MAN who punched a tourist information office window in Leominster has been ordered to pay £200 compensation.
Hereford Magistrates Court heard Paul Wall, from Ridgemoor Road, Leominster, caused damage totalling £1,022 last July.
Lesley Ashton said CCTV shows him walking up to the window with a raised right arm and punching the front window.
She said because he has learning difficulties, the police offered to resolve the matter with a community resolution of a litter pick in the town centre for a month.
But Wall did not complete this meaning the 21-year-old was ordered to appear in court last week.
Philip Cornell, defending, said Wall had argued with his brother-in-law and as he went to hit him, his brother-in-law moved to one side and he hit the window instead.
Wall was ordered to pay £200 in compensation, £50 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
