But Irish pop wannabes John and Edward Grimes will stay in the spotlight as they try to cash in on their notoriety on the ITV show.
The identical twin brothers came up against Olly Murs in the sing-off last night.
But their rendition of Boyzone’s No Matter What was unusually subdued, with no dance routine and no tricks.
Murs said he was “a bit gutted” to be in the bottom two but his polished performance of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight was too good for the brothers.
Judge Dannii Monogue had the deciding vote and picked Murs.
The twins remained all smiles as they were voted out, saying Murs deserved to go through.
Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle, from Blackburn, West Lothian, and Mariah Carey – who both have new albums out – performed on last night’s show.
Boyle received a standing ovation for her performance of Rolling Stones classic Wild Horses.
