A FUEL and lubricants distributor has handed over a donation to a Hereford breast cancer charity.

OJ Williams gave The Haven £300 to put towards the work it does offering emotional, physical and practical support to those with the illness.

The charity, which is based in St Owen Street in Hereford, relies completely on donations to raise the £250,000 it needs each year to operate.

Kevin Harford, from OJ Williams’ Hereford depot on Grandstand Road, said: “The Haven helps to support women with breast cancer and their families during an extremely challenging time in their lives.

"One of our team in Hereford benefited from this support during her time of need, and she has been indebted to The Haven ever since.

"To say thank you for the sanctuary provided to our employee, and to many others in the area, we have given this donation.”

Community fundraiser for The Haven, Lesley Leach, said the group "really appreciates" the donation.
