A PAIR of minor injury units in Herefordshire which were forced to close after staff were diverted to the county’s severely strained A&E department are to reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7.
Wye Valley NHS Trust temporarily closed the units in Leominster and Ross at the start of March due to “unprecedented demand” at the County Hospital in Hereford.
Minor Injury Units are able to treat a number of non-urgent conditions such as broken bones, cuts, bruises and burns and waiting times are often much shorter than at A&E.
