AN eight-year-old animal lover from Leominster raised almost £1,000 for a dog rescue centre after taking on a muddy challenge.

Hannah Lawry, a pupil at Lucton School, completed the 5k mud run at Eastnor Castle last weekend for the Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue Centre (HWAR).

Her efforts saw a total of £915 for the organisation which is dedicated to helping dogs in need.
