ALTHOUGH a valiant attempt, organisers fell short of breaking a world record in Ross-on-Wye at the weekend.
Organised on behalf of a charity called Soi Dog Foundation, the aim was to break a Guinness World Record of getting the most dogs in one place wearing a bandana.
The current record still stands at 764, after the record attempt on Saturday managed 520 dogs in bandanas in the grounds of the Hope and Anchor and along the river.
The attempt was part of a fun day to raise money for the registered Thai charity, which cares for street dogs and cats of Phuket and Bangkok.
They have 12 months to arrange another attempt.
