A BEST-selling novelist is to visit Leominster Library to celebrate the paperback release of his latest novel – which is based in Herefordshire.
Foxglove Summer is the latest in the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch.
It sees PC Peter Grant find himself in the rural ideal of Herefordshire, in contrast to the dark grit of his usual haunts on the streets of London.
At first, as Grant stumbles through a world of river spirits, bees and an ancient Roman road it really seems as if he is not needed. But things take a turn for the weird and he finds himself in combat with fierce and bloody forces.
The series is a fast-moving and hilarious blend of crime and fantasy fiction from a writer who has written scripts for both Dr Who and Casualty.
Tickets are available on the door for the event for £3. It takes place on Friday July 17 at 7pm.
