FORMER BBC news reader Michael Buerk and TV chef Brian Turner called in at Ascari Cafe in Hereford this week to film for a new show.

The duo was filming in the cafe in West Street on Tuesday for a new BBC programme, which will be released soon.

They were also spotted filming in other areas of the city, including Widemarsh Street.

The new TV series is called My Life On a Plate.

Each week focuses on a different celebrity exploring their early years growing up in different regions and eras.

In Hereford, they were looking at Mr Buerk's young adult life where he moved to from Solihull.

Mr Buerk lived on St Owen Street in what was once a butcher's shop.
