POLICE believe a stolen tractor and trailer may have caused over £1,000 worth of damage to metal gates and gate posts at a field off the A438, close to the Trumpet crossroads.
A missing tractor and trailer, showing signs of a collision, were found abandoned nearby, at Much Marcle. It has since been re-united with its owner.
Police are certain some kind of vehicle, probably the tractor, hit both the fence and gates.
The incident happened between 5.30pm on Monday, April 23, and 9am the following day.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw a vehicle being driven away from the scene that night.
A number of tractors have been stolen in the Ledbury area recently, apparently by joyriders.
Anyone with information should phone PC Dan Underwood at Ledbury Police Station on 08457 444888.
