FAMILY Saturdays continue at The Courtyard this month, with family events every Saturday from 10.30am.

Activities include films, workshops, live shows, as well as arts and crafts, treasure hunts, games and more.

On Saturday there will be a lively tap dancing workshop for families to enjoy together - no experience necessary.

The following Saturday, tap dancing is the theme again, in the fantastic live show, The Tap Dancing Mermaid - the Moon’s magical, mystical story about a tippetty-top tap dancer who he has been watching at night. Marina Skippett creeps out of her house every night to shuffle and stomp on the boardwalk to the sounds of the sea. There are stunning puppets, original live music to sing along to and plenty of tap dancing. For everyone aged 3 to 133. From 10.30am there will be arts and crafts activities to create an underwater scene at The Courtyard before the show.

On Saturday, February 20, the beautiful film Zarafa (PG) will be screened, following the story of Maki who, escaping from a slave trader, befriends Zarafa, an orphan giraffe. When Zarafa is given to the King of France Maki is determined to rescue his best friend so they set out on a journey from Africa to Paris. With many exciting adventures on the way, this gorgeous animated film is a true delight. Arrive from 10.30am for fun activities before the film.
