A BRAVE six-year-old girl from Leominster has had several inches of her long locks cut off so that she can help children going through cancer treatment.
Ruby Ward, a year-two pupil at Leominster Primary School, braved the cut today and her hair will now be donated to the Little Princess Trust.
The charity, based in Hereford, provide free real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Ruby's mum, Amy Ward, said: "It was all her idea, she has said for some time that she wanted to do it.
"I'm so proud of her. She's also raised just over £200 through donations."
Ruby's school friends, teachers and family gathered to watch her have her hair cut by a family friend, Jodie Connop.
