A MAN was fined £200 for driving while he had cannabis in his system.
Vasileios Serfas, 44, of Church View, Much Dewchurch pleaded guilty to driving a car in Newmarket Street in Hereford while having a quantity of drugs in his system.
Hereford Magistrates' Court heard he had 2.4mg of delta–9–Tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) in his system. The legal limit is 2mg.
Police stopped him on February 27 at 2pm and could detect a slight smell of cannabis.
The court heard Serfas is employed and that he has no previous convictions.
He was fined £200, ordered to pay court costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £20. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
