A CHARITY which encourages people to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening held a successful fundraising event.
Herefordshire Growing Point is based at the Holme Lacy campus and offers social and horticultural therapy to adults, young people and children with the full spectrum of learning difficulties, physical disabilities and to the elderly.
The charity held its third Gardeners Question Time fundraising event at The Kindle Centre with Sir Roy Strong returning as chairman.
The panellists were Duncan Coombs, RHS identification expert and former lecturer at Pershore College; Mark Harwood-Browne of the Horticultural Department, Hartpury College; and Tamsin Westhorpe, former Editor at Large, The English Garden Magazine and now a freelance gardening writer.
There was a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Organisers would like to thank the volunteers and everyone who supported the event including Carrs Organic Products, The Castle House Hotel, Paunton Court Vineyard and Wyevale Garden Centre.
Herefordshire Growing Point also has an outreach programme at various care homes and day centres around the county.
