A LARGE private collection of vintage wines are expected to sell for more than £100,000 when they go under the hammer in Leominster.
The collection contains some of the highest rated wines in the world, including the great Chateaux of Lafite, Latour and Mouton Rothschild.
The 29 cases are expected to sell for a total in excess of £100,000 at Brightwells' next auction of wine, port and champagne on May 18.
Brightwells’ wine consultant, Paddy Shave, said: "The collector had a real eye for quality.
"These are the best vintages from the best vineyards, all impeccably stored.
"I expect a lot of interest from private collectors, London brokers, merchants and restaurateurs’.
The top value lot is expected to be a single case of Chateau Lafleur 2000 which has a guide price of between £10,500 and £12,500.
