THE window of a man's pick-up truck was smashed when he disturbed four trespassers on his land in Redmarley, last Sunday.

A nearside window was shattered when one of the intruders hurled a wooden post at his vehicle, as the concerned landowner approached the group.

Gloucester police say incident happened at the end of the victim's driveway on a farm not far from where the M50 crosses the A417, between 8pm and 8.20pm on Sunday, May 22.

A police spokesman said: "The victim had walked out of his house after noticing trespassers on his farm. He got into his pick-up truck and headed towards them, causing them to run off across the farm. He drove around the farm in an attempt to cut them off but as he was doing so one of the men picked up a small wooden post and threw it at the victim's truck, causing the rear nearside window to shatter.

"The victim reversed onto the road before someone driving a red Vauxhall Frontera Sport pulled out of a gateway, reversed towards his vehicle and then made off."

None of the intruder have been traced so far.

All four men are described as white and in their twenties. The main offender is described as in his early to mid 20s, 5ft 9ins tall and of stocky build. He was clean shaven and wearing a black beanie type hat, grey hooded top and dark bottoms.
