AN event to raise funds for the Brian Hatton Education Programme is set to take place next week.
Born in Hereford on August 12, 1887, Brian Hatton's artistic talent was considered unique and it was thought he he would lead the British school of art to heights never before attained.
However, the talented artist was killed in action in Egypt on April 23, 1916.
Thanks to his family, his drawings and paintings have been curated and presented to the city of Hereford.
Fugue Visions, a community interest company, is devoted to sharing his amazing life story and work, whilst marking the 100th anniversary of his untimely death.
It is hosting a fundraising black tie dinner and dance on Friday, July 1 at Hereford Town Hall from 7.30pm to 12pm.
There will be live music by Wye Valley Jazz as well as guests and a DJ.
Tickets cost £30 and bookings can be made by contacting catherinegilling@btinternet.com
