Our President Margaret Coulson welcomed everyone to the July meeting.
The evening’s speaker was Rebecca Edmonds talking about “Hypnotherapy – the power of the mind”. Rebecca was previously a lawyer but qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist after using this natural method to reduce her own pain rather than taking drugs. She gave details of the many conditions which can be helped by this technique including stress and anxiety, depression, insomnia and coping with loss and bereavement.
The evening’s competition was “A favourite children’s book’. There was a wide variety of entries ranging from the traditional “Heidi”, “Black Beauty” and nursery rhyme books to the more recent “Cat in the Hat”.
The next meeting is at 2 pm Wednesday August 10 at the Parish Room of the Catholic Church New Street Ledbury HR8 2EE. The speaker will be Malcolm Watkins with the title “Games Makers to the Empire”.
Visitors are always very welcome.
