THE question must be asked, has the hard work of Ledbury in Bloom uncovered a new tourist attraction for the town, in the shape of a road with triple yellow lines?
The three lines in Church Road, on the approach to St Michael and All Angels Church and below the wall of the Victorian Walled Garden, were only spotted when Ledbury in Bloom volunteers cut back years of ivy growth from wall.
The suspicion is that the existing double yellow lines were painted in when one of the original lines, closest to the wall, wasn't visible at all, because of all the ivy.
The discovery has left local people scratching their heads as to how legally binding a triple yellow line might actually be.
Church Road links Church Street to the head of Church Lane, before curving to the gates and main entrance of Ledbury Parish Church.
