A COUNTY school has been given a £3,200 boost to help in its quest to become a community hub.

Glamorgan Telecom has donated the cash to Kingstone Academy which is working with Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School to provide learning facilities to the local community, individuals and groups alike throughout the year.

To offer such facilities, the academy depends on fundraising donations and Glamorgan Telecom said it was happy to support them.

Sales Director, Mat Evans, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Kingstone Academy and having worked with them for the past decade, we know how invaluable the school’s work in the local community is. We hope that our donation will offer real benefit to the local community.”

Kingstone Academy Head Teacher Mr Steven Fisher added: “We at Kingstone are delighted to be extending our relationship with the team at Glamorgan Telecom. We set high standards in all that we do and could not be happier that Matt’s team work to the same values on quality that we do.”
