TEN years on, and members of the the Midlands Textile Forum have jumped at the chance to put on a new exhibition at the Artrix Gallery in Bromsgrove.

The Forum was formed a decade ago, and the exhibition will be called, appropriately enough, Ten Years On.

A spokesman said: "The Artrix continues to showcase the very best in interesting visual arts this month with its exhibition of work from the Midlands Textile Forum.

"They are a group of textile artists working in the heart of England in a variety of styles, media and themes. The exhibition features work which is both abstract and representational using embroidery, applique, felting and quilting as well as creative dyeing, print and paint work."

The spokesman added: "The Artrix Gallery always likes to present work which sees art in its broadest terms. This textile work is most definitely art and entails a huge amount of skill and variety of techniques to make work which is visually stunning."

The exhibition is open daily between 10am and 4pm and most evenings until January 30, and entrance will be free.
